
Ashlie Watters, PhD, MPH
Dr. Ashlie Watters joined ACUTE in 2016 and serves at the Associate Research Scientist.
Dr. Ashlie Watters is the Associate Research Scientist for ACUTE and it is her role to conduct evidence-based research to further understand the complex physiology of eating disorders. She is committed to rigorously investigating clinical practices which improve patient outcomes. This includes designing and directing studies to evaluate clinical practice and to improve the understanding of the pathophysiology behind the medical complications experienced in patients hospitalized due to severe anorexia nervosa. Dr. Watters is also an Instructor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She completed her PhD in Public Health at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is currently an active member of the Academy of Eating Disorders.
