Occupational Therapist
Rachel Ohene, MOT, OTR/L, CEDS is the Occupational Therapist at ACUTE, where she blends her love of health promotion, physical disability interventions, and OT behavioral health interventions.

Rachel Ohene received her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University, and has since made her home in Denver, Colorado. She began her career working in geriatrics, specializing in dementia care, aging-in-place, and Parkinson’s disease rehabilitation. Her current role with the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health blends her love of health promotion, physical disability interventions, and OT behavioral health interventions. In alignment with her professional value of evidence-based practice, she is also passionate about conducting clinical research in addition to providing compassionate patient care. 

ACUTE Earns Prestigious Center of Excellence Designation from Anthem
In 2018, the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders & Severe Malnutrition at Denver Health was honored by Anthem Health as a Center of Excellence for Medical Treatment of Severe and Extreme Eating Disorders. ACUTE is the first medical unit ever to achieve this designation in the field of eating disorders. It comes after a rigorous review process.
