Erica Tohtz, MOT, OTR/L, CEDS

Occupational Therapist

Originally from Livingston, Montana, Erica attended Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota and obtained her Masters of Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University. She has worked as a community-based occupational therapist assisting college students and student veterans with service-connected injuries, and as an outpatient pediatric occupational therapist in sensory integration clinics. Erica has been interested in eating disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions since her undergraduate studies and she was thrilled to join the ACUTE team in 2019. As a Certified Yoga Teacher, she finds yoga to be a powerful tool to incorporate into her work, in addition to a variety of physical and behavioral health interventions. Erica is passionate about helping people find occupational balance and learn to advocate for their needs to improve their quality of life.

ACUTE Earns Prestigious Center of Excellence Designation from Anthem
In 2018, the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders & Severe Malnutrition at Denver Health was honored by Anthem Health as a Center of Excellence for Medical Treatment of Severe and Extreme Eating Disorders. ACUTE is the first medical unit ever to achieve this designation in the field of eating disorders. It comes after a rigorous review process.
