Clinical Social Work Supervisor
Tammie Williams is the Lead Clinical Social Worker ACUTE, where she provides supervision and direction of the Social Work team, collaborates with our partner programs, and directs quality improvement projects to ensure our patients are receiving the highest quality of care.

Tammie Williams is the Lead Clinical Social Worker ACUTE. Tammie has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Colorado for many years with expertise in working with children, adolescents and families. Tammie was recruited to Denver Health 10 years ago, joining the ACUTE team three years ago to assist with developing the Adolescent Program. As a member of the leadership team on ACUTE, Tammie provides supervision and direction of the Social Work team, collaborates with our partner programs, and directs quality improvement projects to ensure our patients are receiving the highest quality of care. Tammie is also a member of ACUTE’s multidisciplinary team, providing clinical services for our patients.  In addition, Tammie has served as a supervisor for MSW Interns for many years; and has had the opportunity to provide local, regional and national training for Social Workers and Care Managers throughout the United States. In her free time, Tammie enjoys hiking, camping, reading, cooking and spending time with her family.  

ACUTE Earns Prestigious Center of Excellence Designation from Anthem
In 2018, the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders & Severe Malnutrition at Denver Health was honored by Anthem Health as a Center of Excellence for Medical Treatment of Severe and Extreme Eating Disorders. ACUTE is the first medical unit ever to achieve this designation in the field of eating disorders. It comes after a rigorous review process.
