Casey Shamy is the Provider Relationship Manager for ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders and Severe Malnutrition for the eastern region of the United States.

Casey Shamy is the Provider Relationship Manager for ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders and Severe Malnutrition for the eastern region of the United States. As a Provider Relationship Manager, Casey is responsible for maintaining relationships with referral partners as well as developing new relationships with specialists, providers, and other professionals to create a collaborate environment. She is also responsible for providing information and education to increase awareness on ACUTE and the treatment available to patients suffering from eating disorders or severe malnutrition. Prior to joining ACUTE, Casey worked in behavioral health clinical settings for 13 years in numerous roles, including marketing and admissions. Casey is a licensed social worker and received her Master of Social Work degree from Monmouth University in 2015. She recently earned iaedp’s prestigious associate educational designation through the iaedp™ Institute on Eating Disorders, underscoring her commitment and capability in providing clinical consultation and facilitation of referral for severely ill patients.

ACUTE Earns Prestigious Center of Excellence Designation from Anthem
In 2018, the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders & Severe Malnutrition at Denver Health was honored by Anthem Health as a Center of Excellence for Medical Treatment of Severe and Extreme Eating Disorders. ACUTE is the first medical unit ever to achieve this designation in the field of eating disorders. It comes after a rigorous review process.
