Denver Health Chief of Infectious Disease Recommends ACUTE Eating Disorder Treatment during COVID-19

Dr. Philip S. Mehler, Founder and Executive Medical Director of the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health, invites Dr. David Wyles, Chief of Infectious Diseases at Denver Health, to address ACUTE’s unique capabilities to treat patients during the COVID-19 pandemic. In fact, Dr. Wyles suggests that delaying treatment may pose greater risk to patients with severe eating disorders than COVID-19 infection. ACUTE continues to operate as usual, accepting admissions daily and delivering life-saving care to patients with severe and extreme eating disorders during this challenging time.
