She values working alongside a team of dedicated professionals to support patients at critical points in their recovery.

Shannon Wallace, MSW, serves as a Senior Admissions Strategist at ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders and Malnutrition. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Tennessee and brings 14 years of experience working with patients with eating disorders, primarily in higher levels of care, including admissions and direct patient care.

Shannon enjoys being part of a team that is both highly skilled and deeply compassionate, and she takes pride in connecting patients and families with lifesaving treatment. She is driven by the impact of her work, knowing that her efforts help patients take critical steps toward recovery.

Outside of work, Shannon enjoys crafting, spending time outdoors, traveling and making memories with her husband and children.

ACUTE Earns Prestigious Center of Excellence Designation from Anthem
In 2018, the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders & Severe Malnutrition at Denver Health was honored by Anthem Health as a Center of Excellence for Medical Treatment of Severe and Extreme Eating Disorders. ACUTE is the first medical unit ever to achieve this designation in the field of eating disorders. It comes after a rigorous review process.
