Our Multidisciplinary Team
-
Hospitalists
Our hospitalists, whether internal medicine or family practice doctors, oversee a patient’s care, including monitoring, evaluation, and pharmacological interventions. They also regularly consult with the rest of the treatment team to set treatment goals.
-
Psychiatrists
Our psychiatrists serve as consultants to the hospitalist to help diagnose and treat any co-occurring mental health conditions, enabling patients to fully engage in their treatment.
-
Psychologists
Each patient is assigned a primary psychologist, either a PsyD or PhD, who will meet with them in individual sessions three to four times a week for therapeutic support to help cope with the stress of hospitalization.
-
Registered Dietitians
Registered dietitians will meet with patients four or five days a week to develop meal plans that meet their specific dietary needs.
-
Physical Therapists
Our physical therapists will evaluate and assess patients throughout their treatment, helping to restore physical function and reduce pain and discomfort using various physical therapy techniques.
-
Occupational Therapists
Occupational therapists will meet with patients to identify their specific treatment goals. They work with patients where they are to enhance their ability to perform daily tasks and explore various coping strategies.
-
Social Workers
Every patient is assigned a primary social worker that will serve as a point person for family members, referring providers and other healthcare facilities. They assist with insurance approval, discharge planning and coordinating paperwork so patients can focus on their treatment.

Recovering with Privacy
ACUTE was designed with patient healing and comfort as its top priority. Every room on the unit is a private room, providing a quiet and controlled environment that not only supports recovery but also ensures more focused care and privacy.

ACUTE treats patients of all gender identities aged 15 and older who are critically underweight, typically below 70% of their ideal body weight (IBW) or a BMI of ≤ 14.5, as well as those at or above IBW experiencing severe medical complications.
