Discharging Patients with Severe Eating Disorders and Malnutrition to ACUTE during COVID-19

During the COVID-19 crisis, hospital case managers are asking where to refer patients with severe anorexia nervosa and/or malnutrition to make surgical beds available for of COVID-19 patients requiring hospitalization. If your caseload includes severely underweight patients with concerning medical problems, ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders at Denver Health can help you: gain disposition clarity for challenging patients with severe eating disorders and malnutrition; provide specialty treatment in a Center of Excellence; and facilitate immediate air ambulance transport in partnership with Angel MedFlight.
