Amy Staggs, MD
Amy Staggs, MD, serves as a Hospitalist at ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders and Severe Malnutrition, where she provides comprehensive medical care to patients with complex eating disorders. She brings a diverse clinical background spanning inpatient hospital medicine, outpatient primary care and residential treatment settings.
Dr. Staggs earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is a member of the American College of Physicians. Prior to joining ACUTE, she worked for nearly five years at a residential program in Denver and spent 10 years as a hospitalist, building extensive experience managing medically complex patients.
Her clinical career has focused primarily on hospital-based medicine, complemented by work in outpatient and residential care environments. This breadth of experience allows her to approach patient care with a well-rounded perspective.
Dr. Staggs values working at ACUTE for its highly specialized hospital setting, where a focused, multidisciplinary approach makes patient care both rewarding and effective. She is motivated by the opportunity to provide meaningful, high-impact care to patients during critical stages of recovery.
Outside of work, Dr. Staggs enjoys reading and traveling.
