Kate Bridges, MD
Kate Bridges, MD, is a Hospitalist at the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders and Severe Malnutrition, where she joined the hospitalist team in August 2025. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Sciences and Pre-Medical studies from Northwestern University and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. Bridges is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) since 2013 and the Colorado Academy of Family Physicians (CAFP) since 2019. She holds medical licenses in Colorado and Ohio and has completed additional training in Medical Acupuncture through the UCLA Helms Medical Institute. She has received recognition for her clinical and teaching excellence, including the Resident of the Year Award (2013), the Gold Foundation Humanism and Excellence in Teaching Award (2012) and serving as Chief Resident during her training (2012–2013).
Prior to joining ACUTE, Dr. Bridges spent more than four years providing medical care for adolescents with eating disorders at Eating Recovery Center in Denver from 2019 to 2023, serving as the primary care physician for patients across inpatient, residential and partial hospitalization levels of care.
Dr. Bridges enjoys working with patients with complex medical and emotional needs and finds it deeply rewarding to support recovery alongside ACUTE’s multidisciplinary team of experts. She is motivated by the opportunity to contribute to meaningful patient outcomes while working in a highly specialized clinical environment.
Outside of work, Dr. Bridges enjoys spending time outdoors mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding and snowshoeing. She also enjoys attending live music, theater performances and other art experiences
